For many rangatahi in our semi‑rural communities, the biggest barrier to gaining a driver’s licence isn’t motivation, it’s access to support, especially when it comes to supervised driving practice.

COLAB is working to change that. Our upcoming Driver Mentor Programme is designed to help young people aged 16–24 gain their restricted, and full licences through accessible education, practical driving support, and strong community mentorship.
